About
SRT Toolkit is a small toolkit for subtitle cleanup and localization prep.
It is built for creators, editors, course makers, and small teams who need to fix subtitle files quickly before publishing or translating a video.
What it helps with
- Convert simple SRT files to WebVTT and WebVTT files back to SRT.
- Clean messy subtitle blocks before translation or upload.
- Shift timestamps earlier or later when captions are slightly out of sync.
- Create AI translation prompts that preserve caption numbers, timestamps, and line breaks.
Who it is for
The first version is intentionally focused on practical subtitle chores. It works best for YouTube videos, short-form clips, online lessons, product demos, podcast clips, and simple course captions.
Current limits
This MVP supports standard SRT and simple WebVTT cues. Advanced cue styling, speaker metadata, positioning, severely broken timing, and large batch workflows should be reviewed manually or handled by a full subtitle editor.
